Providing diverse and renewed services to customers
Elenia Lämpö Oy has around 5,000 customer contracts, some 2,000 out of which are household customers. The company has approximately 85,000 end users in more than ten municipalities. Its largest customer segment consists of residential properties, which represent around 40% of the total sales of heat energy. Corporate, municipal and state properties represent around 28% of total sales. In addition to district heating operations, Elenia Lämpö Oy engages in the local distribution of natural gas in six urban areas where industrial customers constitute the largest segment.
Overall construction activity remained low in 2014 due to the difficult economic situation. Nevertheless, we were fairly successful in acquiring new customers and achieved the targets set for the year. Many customers opted for district heating, which reflects the competitiveness of district heating compared to other options as well as the ability of Elenia Lämpö Oy to meet customers’ needs.
Moving forward on customers’ terms using the new Lämpöluotsi service concept
In order to provide even better and more diverse services to its customers, Elenia Lämpö Oy launched Elenia Lämpöluotsi as a new service solution in December. Elenia Lämpöluotsi includes an “Ask our expert” service, a heating blog focused on current issues related to customers and the heating market, and many other services that benefit our customers.
We also introduced an online map for our customers which displays the scheduled interruptions to the distribution of heating, information on faults and estimated repair times.
